Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Arrange bread cubes in greased 13 x 9-inch baking dish; set aside.
  2. Combine remaining ingredients in large bowl with wire whisk; pour over bread. Let stand 1 hour or cover and refrigerate overnight.
  3. Bake, uncovered, 45 minutes or until center is set.
Recipe Notes

Tip: For a meat variation, add 1 cup coarsely chopped cooked ham, 1 cup crumbled cooked sausage or 6 bacon slices, cooked and crumbled.

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Combine ground beef, 1 cup sauce, green pepper, oats, 1/2 cup cheese, eggs, salt and black pepper in large bowl. Shape into loaf in 13 x 9-inch baking or roasting pan. Top with 1 cup sauce.
  3. Bake uncovered 50 minutes. Sprinkle top with remaining 1/2 cup cheese and bake an additional 10 minutes or until done. Let stand 10 minutes before serving. Remove to serving platter and serve with remaining sauce, heated.
