  1. Preheat oven to 425°F. Place pizza crust on foil-lined baking sheet. Spread sauce evenly over crust to within 1/4 –inch of edge. Top with cheese slices.
  2. Bake 10 minutes. Top with basil. Season with salt and pepper and drizzle with oil before serving.
Recipe Notes

Tip:

For a BLT Pizza, omit basil and olive oil. Prepare pizza as directed, adding chopped cooked bacon. Top with shredded iceberg lettuce and drizzle with mayonnaise after baking.

Use your Grill:

Top pizza crust with sauce and cheese. Place directly on grill heated to medium-high. Grill 5 minutes or until cheese is melted and crust is browned on bottom. Transfer to cutting board. Top with basil, season with salt and pepper and drizzle with oil.

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F. Press each pizza crust into 8 x 12-inch rectangle with rolling pin or hands, then cut each into 4 equal squares.
  2. Arrange squares on two greased baking sheets. Starting at corner of each square, cut toward center of square stopping 1/2-inch from center with knife. Evenly top each square with 2 tablespoons sauce, then cheese and pepperoni. Fold every other point into center; press to seal. Bake 10 minutes or until crusts are golden. Serve with remaining sauce, heated.

Grilled Pizzas

  1. Preheat grill. Heat oil in large skillet and cook peppers and onion, stirring, 5 minutes or until tender. Remove and set aside.
  2. Flatten each ball of dough on floured board into 6- to 7-inch circles. Lightly brush dough with a little oil.
  3. Place dough, oiled side down on grill, lightly brush tops with oil. Grill 1 minute or until cooked on bottoms. Remove from grill, place on work surface grilled side up.
  4. Spread 3 tablespoons sauce on each crust. Top with cooked onions, peppers, tomato and cheese.
  5. Place pizzas on grill; cover and grill 2 minutes or until cheese is just melted. (If pizza bottoms begin to char move them to a cooler place on the grill.)
