Cheddar Burger Mashed Potato Bake

Get the kids to eat more veggies by "hiding" finely chopped carrots or zucchini in the beef.


  • 2 lbs. ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 jar (1 lb.) Ragu® Double Cheddar Sauce
  • 2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 4 cups leftover mashed potatoes


  1. Preheat oven to 425°.
  2. Brown ground beef in 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat; drain. Add onion and cook, stirring occasionally, 2 minutes. Stir in Sauce, mustard and, if desired, salt and ground black pepper to taste. Simmer, stirring occasionally, 3 minutes or until heated through.
  3. Turn into 2-quart casserole; evenly top with mashed potatoes.
  4. Bake until potatoes are lightly golden, about 25 minutes.
